*** Updated 2023 ****
As many of you know, we recently rolled out some updates to the Bing Maps V8 Web Control and we’ve also just launched an interactive SDK so you can try it "live"! This handy developer resource is a great way to check out features and easily find the corresponding code and events for use in your applications. The left hand menu shows you all of the major features available in the Web SDK, while the body of the page shows you the feature in action with the (editable!) source code right below.
Want to check out what’s new? Try the following:
- Create map with map options > Launch the map with aerial imagery: Load map with options (bing.com)
- Create map with map options > Map with custom colors: Custom Styles & ARGB color (bing.com)
- Get user location > Set pushpin: Set color of default pushpin (bing.com). Just type "blue" over the word "red" and press the run to see the pushpin color change
- Layers & visualization > Add multiple items to a data layer: Add multiple items to a layer (bing.com)
In the top right corner you can see an option for "Branch". Here you will find "Experimental" which is the next rev to be released and Release, which is what is live today. Want to try the next release? Just set this value to "Experiemental and you can try the next release before it goes live!
We hope you find this a useful and tool!
