Where 2.0

image“Where Location is Relative”….alright, so we’re heading to Burlingame, CA for the Where 2.0 Conference next week (May 12-14). You would think the GIS/LBS industry is big enough to justify someplace bigger than Burlingame – perhaps San Diego, eh? Oh, how about Medford, OR, you know half way between…..well, anyway.

We’ll have a booth setup in the Expo hall where we’re giving out some free schwag for stopping by (for those of you on the east coast, it’s not what you think).

We have a couple sessions where Microsoft people will talk Virtual Earth. Here’s the line up:

  • Vincent Tao, Plenary Presentation – “Where is Where?”, May 13, 3:05pm, Salon A-F
  • Chris Pendleton, Birds of a Feather presentation, May 13, 9pm, Bayside I  – I’m doing a deep dive on Virtual Earth, The Platform. I’ll show some applications, some code, and some integration across other Microsoft products.
  • Steve Lombardi, Birds of a Feather presentation, May 13, 10pm, Bayside I – Lombardi’s going after collections and some Live Search Maps features.

So, stay late. Perhaps Lombardi and I will make it worth your while.
