Hot off the press, you can now check out “The World Cup Map“. This is a joint project between aerial filming and stock footage experts Skyworks, and interactive web mapping interface specialists Earthware. 

In this demo, you can see the new stadiums that South Africa has built for the World Cup along with details on what games are being played in which stadium and ability to download the schedule into your calendar.

This is such a cool way to show the scalability of Windows Azure Platform combining Silverlight, Bing Maps & simulating smooth streaming HD video through Windows Azure CDN. (That took a while to type!).
