This month on Bing – shopping deals, Olympics coverage, and more

We’re excited to announce several new features this February at Bing.

Shopping Deals

Whether gift shopping for Valentine’s Day, or just browsing in general, everyone appreciates a good deal. That’s why at Bing, we’re looking for more ways to help you save money. We’ve launched a new feature that makes it easier and faster to find deals from your favorite brands.

Simply use Bing to search for deals for a given retailer, and we’ll show you coupons right there in the results with information on the details of the deal so you can check them out at a glance without having to click through a bunch of links.

Over time, we’ll continue to evolve this feature to bring you even more insights on deals.

Winter Olympics

The 2018 Winter Olympic Games kicked off Feb 9 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and Bing is making sure you can follow along and get the coverage you’re looking for quickly.

Bing has the latest news and video highlights, an up-to-date medal count for each country, athlete profiles, schedules by sport, and more! Bing has also partnered with Cortana, so she can give you the latest results when you ask for them!

Homepage Photo Contest

We recently also finished up our #AmplifyIngenuity photo contest, in which we asked users to submit photos that captured human ingenuity in action whether through art, architecture, science, or other human achievement.

Over the last couple months, thousands of incredible photos were submitted and voted on. Our winner, Renz Alfonso Dela Pena, won with the image below, which features a piece of art on the outskirts of Las Vegas called the Seven Magic Mountains. It which will be featured on our homepage in early April.

Please connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to stay in the loop on future contests!

Oscars

The 2018 Oscars are on March 4, and like for the Golden Globes last month, we’re excited to feature winners by category so you can keep track of them, and also to provide predictions in advance so you can be a more informed viewer. Previously this year we predicted 11 of 16 winners correctly for the Grammys, and 9 of 14 categories for the Golden Globes.

The predictions will be live before the end of February, so you have plenty of time to check them out and debate them with your friends before the celebs hit the red carpet!
