How’s the Weather? Introducing New Bing Weather Results

The fallback question when faced with a slow party conversation becomes a very important one when making travel plans. And, as is the case with all good questions, Bing has good answers! We recently refreshed the look and feel of our weather answer and added more resources to help you plan your weekend activities, know what to pack for your upcoming trip or pick your next vacation spot.

Let’s say you’re planning to go to Las Vegas for a quick trip. Anyone who’s been to Las Vegas knows it gets hot. So, how hot will it be this weekend? Are we packing bikinis and sandals or do we need a cover-up? Let’s find out:

So far, looking pretty good. And it warms up as we head into the weekend. Have a favorite weather forecast provider? Bing shows you forecasts from multiple providers such as Weather.com, Weather Underground and AccuWeather.

Anyone who’s been to Las Vegas also knows that freakish summer storms are not uncommon. Luckily, Bing offers weather alerts:

With Bing, you don’t need a weatherman to see the Doppler radar:

You can even evaluate the weather based on UV. Note: pack the serious SPF sunscreen:

Is it always this nice in Las Vegas? Basically, yes.

But it’s not that warm everywhere in the U.S., as our friends in Barrow, Alaska, can attest. Ever wondered what it’s like living somewhere where the summertime high is 47 degrees? Me, neither.

That certainly can’t be right, could it? With Bing, we can not only see that Barrow doesn’t get very warm, that 47-degree high is at the peak of their sun time.

You also can check out Barrow’s chilly weather from space:
