Bing Celebrates the Spirit of Giving this December

Can’t wait to share some holiday cheer? Starting December 1, the Bing homepage transforms into a delight-delivery device: each day of December will reveal a new seasonal treat. Just click the gift icon to turn on the holiday calendar, then come back to Bing each day to discover what daily holiday wonders await.
Delighters include the ability to customize your Bing homepage with festive decorations, features to share such as beautiful holiday images and ecards, music to make your days merry and bright, winter-themed games to entertain, and more holiday wonder than you can fit into the Abominable Snowman’s stocking. (Reindeer cats, anyone?)

We want to celebrate this time of generosity by first drawing attention to six of the many amazing nonprofits that Microsoft works with:, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Mercy Corps, Special Olympics, City Year, and Global Citizen. We’ll be highlighting these organizations on special days in the Bing holiday homepage calendar throughout the month and asking our users to share their support for these amazing nonprofits and the work they do by sharing the message we’ve provided when you click on these special giving days from the calendar.

We’re kicking off the start of holiday homepage December 1 by celebrating the work of Mercy Corps. Mercy Corps provides global humanitarian aid to people in crisis. To show your support for the work Mercy Corps does and to express your hope for a happy new year for all, share the message that appears when you click Facebook or Twitter from the pop-up on day one.

Join us at this December as we count down to the end of the year by making every day this month an opportunity for joy and delight. Celebrate the holidays with us as a chance to give not because we’re supposed to, but because it feels good. Kindness and goodwill can happen all the time—we’re just taking the month of December to celebrate and pass it on.
Happy holidays!
