Wrap up the Awards Season with Bing.com/Awards

The 2014 Awards Season came to a close last night with the 86th annual Academy Awards, and the show certainly did not disappoint. From dazzling red carpet looks, to surprising wins, Bing monitored the pulse of viewers and fans to see the most searched moments throughout the evening.  This and more can all be found at bing.com/awards.

The night was kicked off with some great fashion on the red carpet including Cate Blanchett and Lupita Nyong’o. It was Charlize Theron’s black Dior dress though that wowed the crowd and caused the largest spike in searches of all the leading ladies’ red carpet looks.

Another early favorite was the acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor. While many believed Jared Leto was a shoe-in to win for his riveting role in Dallas Buyers Club, the audience was surprised and moved during his acceptance speech when Leto took the time to thank his hard-working mom. Immediately following his speech, searches for  “Jared Leto’s Mom” spiked significantly.

The searches continued throughout the night with Ellen’s more lighthearted moments. From handing out pizza to collecting cash, Ellen certainly played with the crowd and brought on the laughs.  It was her impromptu “selfie” with Hollywood’s elite though that caused one of the largest spikes in searches of the night.

Thank you for following bing.com/awards throughout the 2014 Award Season and be sure to check out MSN for more highlights, photos and red carpet fashions from the show.
