Keep a “kudos” or “You Rock” folder on your computer. Yes, I’m serious! Every time your efforts result in something that gets special recognition from your manager or team, document it and keep it stored in your folder. That way, when you are putting together your resume or better yet, when you are sitting in an interview, you will already have some great talking points that highlight your experience and the impact you have made in your current role. As recruiters, we love to hear candidate’s talk about their impact and influence in their past work experience.
