Keeping Australia beautiful, charitable – and informed!

On Monday we treated you to a vividly colourful homepage featuring a beautiful Australian rainbow lorikeet marking Keep Australia Beautiful week which runs through to Sunday, August 29. You can use the homepage toggle arrows if you missed it. Besides, where would Bing’s homepage images be without Australia’s clean, beautiful landscapes?

Meanwhile, today we raise awareness for Daffodil Day with a homepage sprouting daffodils – the international symbol of hope for all touched by cancer.

Speaking of connecting, more and more of Bing’s features can be accessed via mobile handsets. Bing was recently added as a search option for Safari users (grab your iPhone and select Settings>Safari>Search Engine>then tick Bing) and to coincide with this exciting development, we have released a new rich version of our mobile experience specifically for our iPhone users.

Designed like an application, but without the need to download, your iPhone now features the daily Bing homepage image and other Bing features including Maps (which includes both driving and walking directions), Instant Answers (like Weather, Celebrity and Finance) and Image Search.

We are working hard to roll this experience out across all mobile devices and we’ll let you know as soon as these versions are ready.  In the mean time, you can check out today on your iPhone at m.bing.com.
