Bing Maps welcomes Multimap to the family

The Multimap team have been hard at work building a new version of Bing Maps for the UK, and are now ready to share the experience with Multimap users.

Recently Multimap users have been invited to try the Bing Maps experience and tell us what they think. Using their feedback the most popular features from Multimap as well as some new ones have been combined to form the latest Bing Maps experience.

These include:

  • Five map style choices, including Ordnance Survey and Collins Bartholomew for London

  • Expanded map data, including OS maps and improved Bird’s Eye and Aerial imagery

  • Detailed restaurant and hotel information, from partners such as TopTable and Booking.com

  • More flexible route planning, the ability to drag to customise your route, and save your destination history

Here at Bing we’ve created a tutorial to demonstrate the main features.  More information is available over on the Multimap is Moving microsite and the Multimap blog. Multimap business services will continue to run as usual, and as always our support teams are ready to deal with any queries.

For Multimap.com, moving home represents an exciting time for new mapping possibilities – as well as a chance to be part of the ever-expanding Bing feature-set.  Pop over and try it now!
