It's time for a spring clean

The Ideal Home Show opens its doors once again this week to inspire the nation. Held annually at Earls Court, London, the exhibition attracts over 250,000 visitors each year. With home improvement, interior and design experts, the event really is the place to go, if you want to spruce up your home.  From a (How to…) theatre to an edible chocolate garden (yes, an edible chocolate garden!), this year’s exhibition is full to the brim with ideas, gadgets and gizmos to help you spruce up your home.

I loved last year’s “home through the ages exhibition” and am really looking forward to seeing the Ideal Home of the Future, which promises to feature the interactive gadgets of the future. A machine that can cook, clean AND wash my clothes may well be top of my wish-list but the Ideal Home of the Future focuses more on entertainment with holographic images and multimedia beds.

For shopaholics, there’s an arcade with hundreds of household gadgets that you never knew you needed until now and plenty of yummy delights to keep you going the whole day long. I always like to head to the stores selling homemade fudge to stock up for later.

With plenty of treats available and bags full of inspiring ideas for the home, The Ideal Home Show at Earls Court is a must-see and runs from 20th March to 5th April 2010.
