With the worldwide introduction of Windows 8.1 last month, we hit a big milestone on that path with the introduction of Bing Smart Search. Built specifically for touch, now you can simply swipe or type from the start screen and Smart Search will find what you need – whether it’s a document on your PC, a photo album in the cloud, your favorite app, or a website. Today we are excited to announce that we are rolling out updates to Smart Search and Bing.com that make it easier to quickly and easily compare hotel prices from the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor.

Bing Smart Search and Trip AdvisorApp for Windows 8.1

By integrating directly into Bing Smart Search, the updated TripAdvisor app designed specifically for Windows 8 will now show up as a result for relevant searches. With just a single tap or click, you will now have instant access to all of the great travel-related content and tools TripAdvisor is known for. Bing knows that an app is often the best way to take action, so bringing apps like TripAdvisor right alongside search results enables you to discover the tools you need to compare and book the best hotels tailored to your needs. When you use Bing Smart Search in Windows 8.1, content such as hotel ratings and reviews from within the TripAdvisor app are presented within results to give you an at-a-glance view of what’s available when you open the app itself.

 

 

TripAdvisor Tools, Reviews and Images Arrive on Bing.com

In addition to Smart Search, you will now see TripAdvisor’s price comparison tools, reviews and photos displayed directly within search results on Bing.com. With a simple search of say “hotels in New York” you can quickly and easily compare hotel prices and availability including live pricing available from a range of global booking partners.
