Bing Teams with DoSomething.org and Lenovo to Kick-Off “The Hunt: 11 Days of Doing”

85% of teens in the US say they want to volunteer. Yet, only 35% of them actively do. What’s the #1 reason why they don’t volunteer? No one asked them to.

As part of Bing’s Summer of Doing, Bing has teamed up with DoSomething.org and Lenovo to challenge young people to team up and start doing something for their communities. With the help of 90210’s Shenae Grimes, we’re kicking off a series of challenges focused on a specific daily causes. The challenges can be found via www.dosomething.org/hunt and DoSomething.org’s favorite social change weapons: cell phones and online searching. As part of the daily challenge, teams will use Bing to search for clues and stats to help to complete the tasks. Teams can work together to complete all the challenges and report back to show how they created a measurable impact in their community, all while collecting points to win prizes like Lenovo IdeaPad Ultrabooks and scholarships.

Starting today, you can register your team for this year’s Hunt. On July 10th, we’ll issue a new set of challenges every day at 10:45 am. Each challenge will earn teams points towards winning prizes! The Grand Prize winning team will win a trip to LA for the Do Something Awards, the premiere award show for young people and social change!
