Christopher Mitchell authored the article "Use GPS And Web Maps For Location-Aware Apps" for MSDN Magazine and it’s now published on the site. The focus of the application is for Windows Mobile devices, their onboard GPS and mapping out location information using the deprecated MapPoint Web Service.

With that in mind, I wanted to ensure Virtual Earth developers were alerted to the latest options that can be accomplished using Virtual Earth Web Service, Virtual Earth Windows SDK and Virtual Earth Mobile SDKs (plus you get all that great Bing Maps aerial photography!).



The opportunities are obvious now that mobile carriers and manufacturers are opening up GPS APIs for us to leverage and Virtual Earth is ready when you are with geocoding, reverse geocoding, maps, aerial photos, driving directions  just to name a few features.
