Why I want to meet you at the National Society of Hispanic MBAs Conference!

At the end of October, I’ll be attending the National Society of Hispanic MBAs conference & career expo in Chicago, IL. Myself, about 30-40 of my Microsoft staffing colleagues, and roughly 8,000 current MBA students and graduates will be gathering in the Windy City with two common goals: to eat our weight in deep-dish pizza and to network like crazy.  Our fantastic campus recruiting team will be there interviewing current MBA students for full-time and internship opportunities.  My industry recruiting colleagues and I will be there, with hiring managers, interviewing candidates with at least six months of post-MBA experience.

You may wonder why Microsoft goes to events like this one.  Well, the answer is simple.  We want to find the best talent in the world.  And we know the best things don’t come to those who wait, the best things come to those who go and get them!  We attend a number of diversity recruiting events throughout the year because, quite frankly, we’re passionate about diversity and we like to go to where the talent is.

So what kind of talent am I looking for at NSHMBA?  Specifically, I’ll be looking for Product Managers, Finance Managers, & Business Analyst Managers.  But I’d love to talk with smart, passionate people with all kinds of backgrounds.  If you’d like to meet up for a chat (or some pizza) drop me a line at alibun@microsoft.com.  If you’d like to interview for one of these jobs, check out our job postings on the NSHMBA online Career Center.  I hope to see you in the Windy City!
