Track Santa’s journey across the globe

Microsoft and NORAD have teamed up to celebrate the holidays around the world. With Bing, Microsoft Edge and Cortana, children and parents everywhere can explore Santa’s village, discover fun games to play through the holidays and learn about the cities and countries that Santa visits on his magical journey on Christmas Eve.

Then on Christmas Eve, follow Santa around the globe as he starts at the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and travels west. Historically, Santa visits the South Pacific first, then New Zealand and Australia. After that, he shoots up to Japan, over to Asia, across to Africa, then onto Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central and South America. Keep in mind, Santa’s route can be affected by weather, so it’s really unpredictable. NORAD coordinates with Santa’s Elf Launch Staff to confirm his launch time, but from that point on, Santa calls the shots. We just track him!

On Windows 10, you can also track Santa by asking Cortana, “Where is Santa Claus?” Read more here about how we worked together to make sure the little ones can follow his journey–and you can make sure they are tucked up in bed before he arrives.

Happy Holidays from the Bing team!
